Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for the support and on-going development of the Optum vendor issues management program
Work directly with business owners (vendor relationship owners) to drive timely issue resolution and minimize operational risk
Drive the business to implement issue resolution project plans, monitor mitigation performance, and communicate status to leadership
Support resolution of complex vendor issues that cut across multiple business and engagements to improve outcomes for Optum and UHG
Develop strategies and plans to keep issue resolution time-frames within set operational goals
Leverage corporate partners to ensure risk assessments are properly performed and vendor evaluations used by the business
Support projects to align and consolidate multiple corporate assessments and findings into a coordinated cross-organization program
Partner with corporate stakeholders to document current state and develop a roadmap to implement changes and improvements to the issues management program
Align efforts with other Optum and UHG functions
Support reporting, tracking, trend analysis and data standards for the Optum Vendor Management Office and issues management program
Partner with business users to assure their needs are being satisfied

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of demonstrated operations experience in either a business orhealthcare setting
1+ years of Internal and/or external client / vendor facing experience
Intermediate or greater level of proficiencyin MS Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Vendor management / vendor relationship experience
5+ years of demonstrated operations experience in healthcare, program management or business analysis
3+ years of experience creating and implementing operational policies / procedures or remediation plans
Familiarity with internal audit or compliance processesData / analytics backgroundInformation security backgroundExperience with Archer / eGRC vendor management platform

Soft Skills:

Demonstrated passion and commitment to positive and effective customer service
Proven ability to navigate and influence in a complex matrix environment
Proven ability in using operational and financial data to drive decisions
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, proven ability to influence and negotiate complex and matrix reporting relationships
Skilled in "managing up" and influencing without authority
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills and ability
