Heavy Equipment Operators Position Responsibilities: Involves the operation of heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, graders, and production machinery. Safe and knowledgeable experience lifting and hoisting material. Responsibility for daily inspections, participation in critical lift planning, and the safe operation of equipment. Ability to read and interpret lift plans and load charts. Understanding of grade stakes. Know how to efficiently and safely operate each piece of equipment assigned. Direct support laborers in a safe manner. Responsible for cleaning and inspecting equipment each day. Perform preventative maintenance checks as required on assigned equipment. Turning in each day of time cards with completed specific tasks. Complete tasks in the manner instructed by the project superintendent or foreman. Observe all safety practices as directed by the company, superintendent, foreman, and OSHA. Utilize all PPE and report all injuries or potential hazards to the project superintendent or foreman immediately. Use, operate, and maintain all job site equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner. Participate in daily and weekly safety activities to support the project in positively advancing the work. Report to the assigned project at the scheduled time. Perform all other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills Prior experience reading blueprints and operating equipment. Ability to lift items weighing 40 pounds while performing daily job tasks. Capable of regularly navigate uneven soil conditions. Good verbal communication skills. Knowledge of construction techniques. Knowledge of construction safety practices.

Education: GED High School Diploma

Position Requirements: 1 year experience preferred. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future. Training OTJ Training
