Part Time Custodian/ Buildings and Groundskeeper

The position is responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and grounds keeping of the Town Hall/Library building at 567 Governor Hunt Rd. in Vernon, VT. The successful would perform custodial duties which include cleaning offices, common areas, rest rooms and kitchen areas; vacuums carpets, scrubs and waxes floors, dusts, washes windows and other miscellaneous custodial duties associated with maintaining clean buildings and facilities. Clears walkways of snow/ice and put down ice melt as needed. Grooms the grass and other caretaking duties.

Maintains: MSDS sheet binder and inventory of all custodial supplies. Performs: painting, minor building repairs, may run a variety of miscellaneous errands and other related duties as assigned. Requirements Valid driver's license, Ability to use cleaning supplies, operate small equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds, Basic knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in custodial and grounds maintenance work. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and masonry repairs is desirable. Three years' work experience, with custodial experience preferred.
